Alicia Huntley RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Originally from Kingston, Ontario, Alicia Huntley moved to Ottawa to attend Carleton University. While there she pursued her interest in human culture with a broad range of the Arts in the Bachelor of Humanities program. With her passion for knowledge and her desire to help others, she decided to change direction and focus on studying the human body instead. As a recent graduate from the intensive program at Algonquin College, Alicia’s passion, compassion, and drive to help others made her very accomplished in her program with an award for her leadership and participation in the college community.
While at Algonquin, Alicia studied many of the traditional massage techniques like myofascial, Swedish massage, joint mobilizations, lymphatic drainage, and many other methods of healing and intervention. It was through her exploration of conditions and her experience in outreach through Algonquin that she discovered her niche in mental health/ illness, scoliosis, and headaches. Areas in which she can also relate too .
While not working, Alicia can be found reading, enjoying a good yoga or hike session, cuddling with her cat, spending time with her friends, travelling, and spending time on her own holistic healing. In the future she plans on training in cranial sacral treatments.
