Lisa’s training consisted of two years (2,200 hours) of intense study of anatomy, physiology, clinical sciences, orthopaedic assessment and massage therapy techniques such as Swedish massage, Neuromuscular therapy, Trigger Point therapy, Fascial release, Hydrotherapy and sports injury massage.
Lisa started her career as a registered massage therapist in 2003 in a well established medical facility and therefore received many physician referrals for treatment oriented massage. She gained excellent experience from the beginning of her career. In 2005 Lisa decided to apply her experience in Marketing and collaborate with Sean Makarenko to establish their own Massage Therapy clinic in Orleans.
Lisa takes an active role in her patient’s health and believes in prevention, maintenance, management, patient education and overall well-being. A treatment with Lisa includes a full assessment, hands- on treatment as well as home care.
She is committed to her profession and has experience in a broad range of pathologies, including shoulder problems, sciatic nerve issues, neck pain issues, headaches, stress-related issues and pregnancy massage, using myofascial unwinding and release techniques, deep tissue, joint mobilizations.
Outside of the treatment room Lisa enjoys spending time with family, hiking, traveling and building a successful business.
