Marc studied at the Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic and has been actively practicing in the healthcare field for 20 years. He has taught massage therapy techniques and theory at local massage schools in Ottawa and has been actively involved in developing the competency standards for the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Marc has spent his career raising the bar in massage therapy education and awareness in Ontario and has focused his studies on a wide range of specialties including: office ergonomics, acupuncture, musculoskeletal injuries, TMJ and orofacial pain, sports, deep tissue massage, TMJ, trigger point therapy and joint mobilization.
Marc is an active member of the College of Massage Therapists, the Vocational Rehabilitation Association as well as the College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals. Within the community, Marc has served on the Board of Directors for the Sandy Hill Community Health Centre, has delivered numerous lectures on Registered Massage Therapy and Acupuncture to health professionals as well as to the general public. He has given keynote lectures, seminars and workshops on Massage Therapy and Complementary Medicines at clinics, medical schools and societies, and television shows. He has expertise in teaching holistic medicine as a board-registered family practitioner and has authored several publications in health journals and community newspapers.
Marc takes the time to thoroughly assess his clients, so as to treat the cause of illnesses. “Find the cause, treat the cause” is his motto, and after performing well over 10,000 treatments, he has positioned himself in Ottawa as an expert practitioner.
In his spare time, Marc enjoys studying and reading, spending time with family and friends and maintaining his physical fitness through various forums.
