Amanda graduated from Georgian College and completed her provincial registration exams to earn the title “Registered Massage Therapist” in 2012. She had been practicing in North Bay for three years prior to her move to Orleans. While she practices massage therapy on a part time basis now, she enjoys engaging with patients and providing exceptional care. Amanda strives for perfection with each treatment, and will constantly work to make each massage her best work. Amanda’s style of massage is mostly therapeutic, with varying levels of pressure depending on her clients needs. Myofascial release and gentle stretching are commonly incorporated into each of her massages, depending on the goals of the treatment and comfort level of her clients. Amanda always assess a client’s situation before deciding what type of massage will yield the most benefit. Remedial exercise is key to her treatment plans. She believes most clients can benefit from regular stretching and strengthening between treatments.
Amanda has extensive experience in treating postural dysfunction, thoracic outlet syndrome, repetitive strain injuries and chronic headaches. She considers a person’s overall health when creating a treatment plan, and cater each massage to the individual. Amanda lives an active lifestyle, and as such have grown to understand the many repetitive injuries that come with playing sports. You can expect a friendly face and a calm atmosphere during her treatments.
